Ryan Dowd, a member of the Hawks baseball team from 1994-97, is the program’s all-time leader in wins with 27. He also ranks second in career strikeouts with 208 and is in the top-10 in earned-run average with a 3.97. Dowd was a consistent pitcher during his career, ranking third all-time in innings pitched with 242.2. He recorded the third most wins in a season with eight in 1997 and is eighth in single season strikeouts with 61 set that same year. Following his senior year he earned First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference and First Team All-North Central Region honors. He was also named Second Team Academic All-America in 1997 and received the Brother Clete Van Ackeren Award for Academic and Athletic Achievement the same year.
