Quincy University Hawks

Kathy was a two time Academic All-American, being named First Team in 1985 and honorable mention in 1986. She was also an ISAA Adidas Academic All-America First Team member in 1986. She was named the team’s Best Midfielder in 1983 and served as team captain in 1984 and 1985. Sommer was also named NAIA All-Central Region First Team in 1986 as well as the Defensive Player of the Year.
