Brad Sloan ’78 was a member of the baseball team during his time at Quincy. He used that experience, along with his degree, to stay within the baseball profession. Sloan started scouting while in his 20’s and has now accumulated over 30 years of working as a major league scout. He has made decisions to award millions of dollars in free- agent signings and has been a special consultant to both the Braves and Mets general managers. Sloan also held the job of Scouting Director for the San Diego Padres for six years, where he made final decisions on who to draft. He was awarded Midwest Scout of the Year in 2018, the same year he was part of the Red Sox organization when they won the World Series.
