Hall of Fame
The 1985 Quincy University softball team becomes just the second team to be inducted into the Quincy University Athletic Hall of Fame. The 1985 Lady Hawks were the first women’s program to win a national title, defeating Washburn College 4-2 in the 1985 championship. It marked the second consecutive season that the team had reached the national championship game. The 1985 season saw the Lady Hawks go 40-7 on their national title run, recording the second most wins in a season for the program. Members of the team include Lori Damhorst, Katy Ebert, Gina Ensalaco, Cindy Espeland, Karen Espeland, Lynn Fuhler, Karen Harris, Patty Harris, Kim Hessing, Jennifer Ippolito, Laura Kamp, Brenda Klostermann, Yvonne Klostermann, Anna Loomis, Sherrie Matthews, Kathy McGowan, Julie Sweet, Kendra Thompson and Jill Vogel.
