Ann Bergman goes down as one of the most successful coaches in Quincy University history. She was the women’s tennis coach for 22 years from 1964 through 1985 and also served as a physical education instructor during that time. During Bergman’s career, she compiled a record of 95-57-4 in dual matches, good for a winning percentage of .609.

She coached Quincy to the NAIA national tennis tournament in 1983 and 1984, which included a district championship in 1983. Bergman coached a Quincy College doubles team to the district championship in 1984 and was also honored as the NAIA District 20 Coach of the Year that same season. After retiring from coaching, Bergman was honored with the Quincy YWCA’s Woman of Achievement In Sports Award in 1993.
