SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Quincy University men's wrestling team took to the road for it's first GLVC contest of the season against the Panthers of Drury University. Sabian Russell, Judah Yates and Kayden Garrett claimed victories in a 34-15 team defeat for the Hawks. 

Drury won two matches via forfeit, opening with one of the two in a victory for Deagan Fugitt at 125. in 133 action, Perry Lake dropped his match to Caden Howard by tech fall. 

Sabian Russel got the Hawks on the board with a fall of Paul Pollard in 141. Hunter Vernon lost to Trevor Christian via tech fall in 149 and Gavin Morawitz was defeated by tech fall by Will Kuster in 157 action. 

Eric Holt of DU got a forfeit win in 165, followed up by a 174 win by decision for Conner Zimmerman over Aaron Taylor. Judah Yates claimed a hard-fought decision over Jeremiah Halter of Drury in 184. 

Maxim Ryner fell to Owian Ulven in his 197 match by major decision and Kayden Garrett brought home a winner for Quincy in 285 with a victory by fall over Thomas Massengale.
