QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University baseball team delivered an emphatic finish to its weekend series at QU Stadium, overpowering Roosevelt in the final two contests to secure its second four-game sweep of the season. The Hawks dominated Game 3 with a 14–2 victory before outslugging the Lakers 18–10 in the finale to improve to 8-4 on the year.

Isaiah Fudge's first-inning RBI double opened the scoring before the Hawks exploded for five runs in the second inning.
Harry Fandre launched a solo home run, and timely hits from

Joe Huffman, and Fudge pushed the lead to 6–0. Roosevelt managed to score in the fourth, but Quincy answered with two runs in the fifth to extend its advantage.
The knockout blow came in the sixth inning when

Game 4: Quincy 18, Roosevelt 10
The series finale proved more offensive from both sides, but the Hawks again delivered the decisive blows. Quincy erupted for six runs in the first inning to seize early control, with Huffman, Fudge, and the Hawks capitalizing on defensive miscues and aggressive baserunning to build a quick advantage. Roosevelt battled back to tie the game in the third, but Quincy responded immediately and reclaimed the lead in the bottom half before
Byron Blaise's RBI double in the fourth made it 8–6.
A five-run fifth inning broke the game open for good.
Carson Moreno's RBI double ignited the rally before
Ben Dahlof and Huffman added run-scoring hits, and Blaise drove in two more to stretch the lead to seven. Roosevelt trimmed the deficit in the sixth, but Quincy answered again with three runs in the bottom half and added insurance later to secure the 18–10 victory.
Huffman led the Game 4 attack with three hits, four runs scored, and three RBIs, while Blaise added three hits and three RBIs. Dahlof scored twice from the leadoff spot, and Fudge crossed the plate three times as Quincy generated offense throughout the lineup.
The Hawks' pitching staff combined to record 15 strikeouts, with freshman
Tyler Lipka earning his first collegiate win in relief.
Jared Rodriguez,
Joe Swanson,
Ethan McMasters, and
Matt Miscik all had scoreless outings out of the bullpen.
Across the final two games, Quincy scored 32 runs, pounded out 28 hits, and consistently capitalized on Roosevelt miscues while showcasing depth throughout the lineup and pitching staff.
With the sweep complete, the Hawks carry strong momentum into their next homestand. Quincy will return to action Friday, February 27, when it hosts Davenport University, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 2:00 PM at QU Stadium.
