2025 (Redshirt Freshman at Missouri Western State): In his second season with the Griffons, Shorb made 18 appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 2–3 record with two saves and a 3.95 ERA across 27.1 innings pitched. He struck out 23 batters while issuing just nine walks and held opposing hitters to a .229 batting average. Shorb made his collegiate debut against Harding (2/1/25), tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. He earned his first career win in a 5–4 victory over Washburn (3/22/25) after throwing 1.2 perfect innings. He later secured his first career save in a 4–0 win over Northwest Missouri State (3/26/25), retiring all six batters he faced across the eighth and ninth innings.

2024 (Freshman at MWSU): Did not see action.

Personal: Jayson Shorb is from Fenton, Missouri, and attended Rockwood Summit High School, where he played for the Falcons. He is the son of Jeffery and Stacey Shorb. Shorb spent two seasons at Missouri Western State University before transferring to Quincy University. He is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.
