Quincy University Hawks

2026 (Redshirt Sophomore): Shorb made 10 appearances out of the bullpen during his first season with the Hawks, three of which were scoreless. He threw 10.2 innings, posting a 2-1 record with a 9.28 ERA, 2.63 WHIP, and nine strikeouts.

Shorb made his Quincy debut against Christian Brothers (2/7/26), tossing 1.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts while earning the win.

2025 (Redshirt Freshman at Missouri Western State): Shorb made 18 appearances out of the bullpen during his second season with the Griffons, posting a 2-3 record with two saves and a 3.95 ERA across 27.1 innings pitched. He struck out 23 batters while issuing just nine walks and held opponents to a .229 batting average.

Shorb made his collegiate debut against Harding (2/1/25), throwing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. He earned the first win of his career against Washburn (3/22/25) after tossing 1.2 perfect innings in a 5-4 victory, then secured his first career save against Northwest Missouri State (3/26/25), retiring all six batters he faced across the final two innings of a 4-0 win.

2024 (Freshman at MWSU): Did not see action.

Personal: Jayson Shorb is from Fenton, Missouri, and attended Rockwood Summit High School, where he played for the Falcons. He is the son of Jeffery and Stacey Shorb. Shorb spent two seasons at Missouri Western State University before transferring to Quincy University. He is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.
