Biography

Personal: Joseph Swanson is from Pekin, Illinois, and attended Pekin Community High School, where he played for the Dragons. He spent time at Lewis and Clark Community College before transferring to Quincy University. Swanson is the son of Paul and Judy Swanson and has a brother, Jack. A three-sport athlete in high school, he competed in soccer, baseball, and basketball. Outside of athletics, Swanson enjoys playing guitar. His favorite athletes include Pete Maravich and Yu Darvish, and he is a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
