QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University women's wrestling team played host to the GLVC Conference Duals on Sunday inside Pepsi Arena, welcoming all conference opponents and four nationally ranked programs to campus. The Hawks finished the day with a 2-1 record, earning wins over Davenport and No. 19 William Jewell while falling to No. 2 McKendree in a highly competitive slate of duals.

Quincy opened the day with a dominant 49-0 sweep of Davenport, winning all ten bouts. The Hawks received four forfeits at 103, 110, 117, and 124 pounds, while the remaining matches were highlighted by a series of quick finishes. Jasmine Hopkins and Maddy Barton both earned falls at 131 and 138 pounds, respectively, while Siobhan Rogers turned in a technical fall at 145 pounds. Lillian Baynes and Trinity White each recorded lightning-fast pins at 160 and 180 pounds, followed by Madisynn Crawford closing the dual with a forfeit victory at 207 to complete the shutout.

The Hawks then went toe-to-toe with No. 19 William Jewell in one of the most competitive duals of the day, pulling out a 26-19 victory. After dropping the opening three bouts, Quincy answered with a narrow decision victory from Sereena Baca at 124 pounds to swing momentum. Maddy Barton followed with a technical fall at 138 pounds before Siobhan Rogers delivered one of the biggest moments of the dual with a fall at 145 pounds. Lillian Baynes added another pin at 160, while Madisynn Crawford secured a dominant decision at 180 pounds. Trinity White sealed the team victory with a 36-second fall at 207 pounds, giving the Hawks a signature ranked win in front of the home crowd.

In the final dual of the day, Quincy faced top-ranked competition in No. 2 McKendree and battled throughout the lineup before falling 41-5. Sereena Baca provided the Hawks' lone win of the dual with a fall at 124 pounds, showing resilience against a nationally elite opponent. Despite the final score, the Hawks gained valuable experience facing one of the premier programs in the country.

Quincy will return to action next Sunday, December 14, as the Hawks travel to Naperville, Illinois for the North Central Open.
