Quincy University Hawks

2025-26 (Sophomore): Tchekounova took another step forward during her sophomore season, finishing with a 29-18 overall record and a .617 win percentage. She went 7-8 in dual action, including a 1-4 mark in conference duals, while scoring 35 dual points for the Hawks. Tchekounova recorded 14 falls, a team-high nine tech falls, five decision victories, and three ranked wins.

Tchekounova was one of Quincy’s most consistent tournament performers throughout the season, placing second at the Luther Hill Open (11/1/25) and eighth at the Missouri Valley Open (11/21-22/25). She earned the first tournament title of her career at the North Central College Open (12/14/25), going 3-0 in the 110 B division with two falls and one decision. She followed with a second-place finish at the Missouri Baptist Open (1/16/26), before claiming another title at the Grand View Open (2/7/26), where she went 4-0 in the Silver 117 division with three falls and one tech fall.

Tchekounova closed the season with a third-place finish at NCAA Women’s Wrestling Regional #5 (2/20-21/26), qualifying for the national tournament. She went 2-2 at the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships (3/6-7/26).

2024-25 (Freshman): Tchekounova delivered a strong debut season for the Hawks, finishing with a 31-20 overall record and a .608 win percentage. She also made an impact in dual action, going 10-6 with a .625 dual win percentage while scoring 49 dual points. Tchekounova recorded nine falls, 15 tech falls, which tied for the team lead, and three decision victories. She also recorded the fastest fall of the season by any Hawk, winning a match in 19 seconds.

Tchekounova made her collegiate debut at the Luther Hill Open (11/2/24), where she won the first match of her career with a 10-0 tech fall. She went 5-2 overall at the tournament and placed fourth for the first podium finish of her career. Tchekounova continued to find success in tournament action, placing third at the Luther College Open (11/9/24), sixth at the MBU Open (1/17/25), third at the Grand View Open (2/1/25), and fifth at the NCWWC Women’s Region VI Tournament (2/23/25).
