Biography

2024-25 (Sophomore): In her sophomore season, Baca finished fourth in the Varsity 110 division at the Luther Hill Open, third in the 110 division at the Luther College Open, fifth in the 110 division at the Missouri Baptist University Open, and one victory short of a national tournament berth, finishing fifth in the 110 division at the NCWWC Region VI Tournament.

2023-24 (Freshman): In her freshman season, Baca put together a great season, finishing second in the 109 division in the Spire Classic and a first-place finish in the silver 109 division at the Grand View Open.

Personal: Sereena Baca is a driven student-athlete from Indio, California. She attended La Quinta High School, where she balanced academics and athletics with remarkable success. With a cumulative 4.02 GPA and a schedule filled with advanced and honors classes, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to her education. Her athletic career has been equally impressive. A two-time team captain, Sereena also qualified for the California State Championships. Outside of sports, she enjoys baking, hiking, and spending quality time with her best friends.

Sereena is the daughter of Shawna and Freddy Baca and the sister of Karlee Alford, Raymond Baca, and Izaiah Baca. Her favorite athletes are Mason Parris and Forest Molinari. When it comes to sports teams, she is a fan of the Los Angeles Angels and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Why QU?
I chose QU because it felt like a good fit for my long term goals. The smaller campus and class sizes is a much better learning environment. I also am excited to be a part of the growing wrestling program.
