QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University wrestling team hosted its first-ever GLVC duel against the McKendree University Bearcats on Wednesday, January 11^th. The Bearcats came out with the victory by the score of 35-13.

Isaac Bourge got the match started with a 3-2 decision over Jason Strope. Bourge started the match down 2-0 and got a late escape for the win. The other Hawk win was a major decision by Ricardo Adame in the 174 pound weight class over Zane Phillips.

QU will return to the mats on Saturday, January 14^th in a tri-meet with Kentucky Wesleyan College and Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. The Hawks will return home on Wednesday, January 18^th as they welcome William Jewell to Pepsi Arena.
