Biography
2024-25 (Junior): For the first time in his career, Silva finished the season with double-digit wins. Four of those wins came during the Luther Hill Invitational (11/2/24), which earned him 5th-place, taking down his teammate Easton Norris in the open 157 division 5th-place match. Carter placed 4th at the Service Salute Open (11/9/24), winning a pair of matches. He earned his second 5th-place finish at the Dr. Tom Smith Invitational (1/11/25), putting together four wins.

2023-24 (Sophomore): At the Maryville Open (11/4/23), Silva opened up his season with three consecutive victories in the amateur 149 division, earning him 6th-place after dropping the 5th-place match. Carter followed it up with three more wins and a 4th-place finish at the Lindenwood Open (11/18/23) in the fresh/soph 149A black division.

2022-23 (Freshman): In his freshman season, Silva made his collegiate debut on the mat at the Maryville Open (11/5/22) and picked up his first victory by fall in a 38-9 dual victory over Fontbonne (11/9/22).

Personal: Carter Silva, from Wasilla, AK, attended Colony High School. Excelling both academically and athletically, he graduated with a 3.81 GPA while competing in wrestling and cross country. A dominant force on the mat, Carter became the D1 ASAA 125lb champion. He is the son of Joe and Ashlee Silva.
