INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University men's lacrosse defender
Jonah Pappas was named All-GLVC Honorable Mention, while
Zach Anderson earned the James R. Spaulding Sportsmanship Award as the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its postseason honors.
Pappas turned in a standout season anchoring the Hawks' defense, appearing in and starting all 13 games. He ranked second in the GLVC with 34 caused turnovers, setting a new Quincy single-season record, while his total also ranked ninth nationally. His impact extended on a per-game basis as well, averaging 2.62 caused turnovers per game, another program record that ranked second in the conference and 11th in the country.
In addition to his defensive presence, Pappas contributed offensively with one goal, the second of his career, while collecting 44 ground balls. His ground ball total ranked tied for ninth in the GLVC, and his 3.38 ground balls per game also slotted tied for ninth in the conference.
With the honorable mention selection, Pappas becomes the ninth player in GLVC history to earn All-Conference recognition in program history.
Anderson's selection as the James R. Spaulding Sportsmanship Award winner highlights his commitment to the values of integrity, respect, and leadership throughout the season, representing Quincy University with distinction both on and off the field.
