CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Hawks were in action this past weekend at the Kohawk Invite, hosted by Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, competing against a deep field of 164 bowlers. The varsity squad put together a strong two-day showing, finishing fourth out of 15 teams, while the JV group followed closely with a sixth-place finish out of 11 teams.
On the varsity side,
Tyler Wojcik led the way with a ninth-place individual finish, rolling 1,135 pins over five games for a 226.6 average.
Cayden Thoms also cracked the top 15, placing 12th with 1,103 total pins and a 220.6 average. Additional varsity contributors included
Zakery Grosvenor (33rd, 203.0 avg.),
Nathan Massey (44th, 196.2 avg.),
Connor Meegan (85th, 191.0 avg.), and
Lukas Vrabec (155th, 182.0 avg.).
The JV lineup was paced by
Kaden Summers, who finished 46th overall with a 195.2 average across five games.
Gael Flores followed in 49th (193.4 avg.), while
Marco Arroyo,
David Holmes,
Nathan Robbins, and
Thomas McMahon all contributed solid efforts throughout the weekend.
The Hawks will be back in action next month as they turn their attention toward postseason play at the USBC Sectionals in March.
