WATERLOO, Iowa — The Quincy University men's bowling team continued its strong season this past weekend, turning in another impressive performance at the Cedar Valley Invite, hosted by Hawkeye Community College on Saturday, January 31.
The Hawks placed fourth out of 20 teams, marking their sixth top-five finish of the season, the most in a single season in program history. Quincy previously recorded five top-five finishes during the 2023–24 campaign.
Quincy was paced by another standout performance from
Nathan Massey, who finished fourth overall with a three-game total of 706 and an impressive 235.3 average. For his efforts, Massey was named to the All-Tournament Team for the third time this season.
That recognition carries added historical significance, as Massey's three all-tournament selections establish a new Quincy men's bowling program record for the most individual all-tournament honors in a single season.
Cayden Thoms also delivered a strong showing near the top of the leaderboard, placing seventh with a 695 series and a 231.7 average. The Hawks added depth throughout the lineup with multiple bowlers finishing inside the top 50 of a competitive 193-player field.
Quincy returns to action February 7–8 when the Hawks travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to compete in the Kohawk Invite, hosted by Coe College at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.
