ADDISON, Ill. – The Hawks men's bowling team competed in the two-day Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic this past weekend, facing a deep field of 68 programs and 472 individual bowlers. Quincy finished 27th overall, knocking down a total of 7,965 pins across team and baker competition.
Quincy totaled 4,769 pins over five traditional team games, posting a 953.8 average, before adding 3,196 pins in five baker games with a 199.75 average. The Hawks finished 997 pins behind tournament champion Calumet College of St. Joseph, which claimed the team title with 8,962 total pins.
Individually,
Nathan Massey led the Hawks with a strong showing, finishing 29th overall after rolling 1,090 pins over five games for a 218.0 average, well above the tournament field average of 191.047.
Connor Meegan followed with a 199.4 average (997 pins), while
Cayden Thoms was close behind at 198.6 (993 pins).
Tyler Wojcik added 923 pins for a 184.6 average, with
Zakery Grosvenor and
Trevor Dodd also contributing in limited action.
The Hawks return to competition this weekend as they travel to Belton, Missouri, for the two-day Eagle Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, January 24, and Sunday, January 25.
