FAYETTE, Iowa – The Hawks battled through a tough conference road test Sunday afternoon, dropping a 46-0 dual to the Peacocks of Upper Iowa University inside Dorman Memorial Gymnasium.
Upper Iowa secured bonus points in five of the ten bouts, using three technical falls and two pins to pull away in the GLVC matchup. The Peacocks also opened the dual with a forfeit at 125 pounds to set the tone early.
Quincy showed fight throughout the lineup, highlighted by competitive decisions from
Te'Andre Allen at 133 and
Donnell Packer at heavyweight, but the Hawks were unable to break through against a deep Upper Iowa squad.
The Hawks return home Wednesday, February 4, for another GLVC showdown against Maryville University inside Pepsi Arena, with the first bout scheduled for 6:00 PM.
