Biography
2024-25 (Sophomore): Orosco opened the season with a 6th-place finish at the Luther Hill Invitational (11/2/24), picking up three wins in the fresh/soph 165 division. He earned 2nd-place with another three wins at the Service Salute Open in the open 165 division.

2023-24 (Freshman): In his freshman season, Orosco was tied for first on the team with 18 total victories and led the team with nine wins by fall. He made his collegiate debut at the Maryville Open (11/4/23), where he picked up three wins and earned 7th-place in the amateur 157 division. Gabriel notched his first dual victory with a win by major decision against Morton College (2/7/24). At the Greyhound Open, he put together five wins for another 7th-place finish in the open 165 division.Â

Personal:Â Gabriel Orosco, a standout wrestler from Springfield, Illinois, attended Tremont High School. He compiled an impressive career record of 90-19 and earned the distinction of being a two-time state qualifier. His dedication in the classroom was equally strong, earning him Academic All-Conference honors. Gabriel is the son of Brandy Santiago and Max Orosco. In addition to his athletic achievements, he served as a student ambassador, helping guide potential students through campus tours and providing valuable insight. Outside of wrestling, he enjoys drinking coffee, listening to music, and following his favorite wrestler, Spencer Lee.
