Quincy, Ill. – Quincy University men's lacrosse standout Connor Nock made program history this week, becoming the first Hawk ever selected in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft on Saturday, Sept. 6. Nock was chosen in the first round with the 10th overall pick by the Colorado Mammoth, marking a historic milestone for both Nock and the QU program.
Widely regarded as one of the top defensive prospects in the 2025 class, Nock has been described as one of, if not the best pure defender available in this year's draft. Reilly O'Connor, forward for the Ottawa Black Bears and head coach of the Toronto Beaches, praised Nock's abilities:
"Connor Nock will have a long career in the NLL. He is steady, smart, and tough to play against. He is a proven winner and a great teammate."
A native of Osgoode, Ontario, Nock leaves behind an impressive career at Quincy. Over four seasons, he appeared in 50 games with 49 starts, finishing as the program's all-time leader in ground balls (165) and caused turnovers (90). Though primarily a defensive force, he also contributed offensively with six goals and six assists.
Nock's consistency was also recognized within the conference, as he was named GLVC All-Conference Honorable Mention three straight seasons (2023, 2024, 2025).
As he begins his professional career in Colorado, Nock not only sets a new standard for QU men's lacrosse but also cements his legacy as one of the most decorated players in program history.
