PERU, Ind. – The Quincy University men's golf team competed at the Midwest Collegiate on September 29-30 at Rock Hollow Golf Club, finishing 13th out of 17 teams with a three-round total of 310-309-299 - 918 (+54).
Blake Arnold led the way for the Hawks, opening with a 78 before firing a sensational second-round 68 (-4). His round was highlighted by 11 pars, three birdies, just one bogey, and a memorable eagle on the 427-yard 18th hole. Arnold closed with a steady 75 to secure a 13th-place individual finish.
Griffin Taylor provided consistency across the weekend. He posted a 77 in the first round with four birdies, followed by a 78 in round two, and capped his performance with an even-par 72 in the final round to finish in 32nd place.
Jack Driscoll opened strong with a 75 that featured three birdies. He followed with rounds of 81-81 to finish in 67th place.
Colton Barr rounded out the lineup, shooting an opening 80 before carding an eagle on the par-4 ninth in round two on his way to an 82. He finished with a 90 in the final round for a 93rd-place result.
The Hawks will continue action October 6-7 when they travel to Lemont, Illinois, to compete in the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
