DECATUR, Ill. — Quincy men's golf turned in an impressive showing at the Dan Salisbury Memorial, finishing second out of 14 teams with team scores of 286 and 289 across the two rounds. The Hawks were led by Blake Arnold, who finished tied for first after a stellar two-round performance.

Arnold delivered a composed and consistent effort from start to finish, opening with a 69 before following with a 72 to finish at 141 (-3). His round was fueled by two eagles, seven birdies, and 19 pars, as he remained near the top of the leaderboard throughout the event and ultimately shared medalist honors.

Griffin Taylor added to Quincy's strong finish near the top of the standings, carding rounds of 73 and 71 to finish at 144 (E). His performance earned him a tie for eighth place alongside teammate Jack Driscoll.

Driscoll matched Taylor's even-par total with rounds of 72 and 72, showcasing steady play across both rounds to also finish tied for eighth overall.

David Gartrell showed improvement throughout the tournament, opening with a 77 that included a birdie on hole 17 before responding with a 74 in the final round. His two-round total placed him tied for 40th overall at Red Tail Run Golf Club.

Colby Robertson rounded out the Hawks' lineup with rounds of 72 and 79 to finish at 151 (+7), also tying for 40th in the field.

Competing as individuals, Brayden Buffington paced much of the field early with an opening-round 67 before closing with a 75. His 142 (-2) total secured a top-five finish in an impressive outing.

Glenn Sutton added a solid performance, posting rounds of 72 and 76 to finish at 148 (+4), tying for 26th place.

Riding their strong momentum, the Hawks will be back in action on March 23-24 as they travel to Bolingbrook, Illinois for the Lewis Flyers Spring Invitational at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
