Romeoville, IL – The Hawks took flight to Romeoville this past Monday (Mar. 31) and Tuesday (Apr 1) to compete in the highly competitive Flyers Spring Invitational. Against a strong field of 12 teams, the Hawks secured a 7th-place finish with a total team score of 667 (323-344). The event tested the team's resilience and adaptability, as they faced varying course conditions and tough competition throughout the tournament.

Lily Vardaman led the way for the Hawks with an impressive performance, securing a 4th-place individual finish with a score of 156 (76-80). She showcased her consistency by finishing under par twice and largely maintaining steady play despite challenging weather conditions. Following Vardaman was Ellissa Warren, who posted a final score of 167 (82-85), tying for 21st place alongside two other competitors. Karlie Schnepp followed closely behind, shooting 168 (82-86) to tie for 24th place with five other golfers. Laci Novosel finished with 176 (83-93), earning a 41st-place tie with two fellow players. Rounding out the Hawks' lineup was Addison Eades, who recorded a final score of 179 (84-95), placing her in 47th place.

Looking ahead, the Hawks will be back in action on Sunday and Monday (Apr 13-14) when they travel to St. Louis, MO, to compete in the next tournament hosted by the University of Missouri - St. Louis at the Norwood Hills Country Club. The team will aim to build on their performance and continue their momentum as they take on another challenging field.
