CASEYVILLE,IL- The Hawks traveled this past Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 21-22) to the Bearcat Dual Gender tournament hosted by Mckendree University. The Hawks competed againstĀ 10 other teams on a 54-hole course. The Hawks finished as a team with a score of 985 (335-320-330), this score slotted them in 7th place.
Senior,
Karlie Schnepp finished 16th and led the Hawks with a score of 239 (85-75-79). Schnepp's score was mainly on par, along with several birdies, and a double bogie on hole 1 during round 2.Ā Schnepp tied with two other competitors, Lily Frazier from William Jewell College and Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro of Maryville University.Ā
Next was Junior
Addison Eades who ended in 23rd, with a score of 246 (83-82-81). Eades was on par for the majority of the course with a handful of birdies and a double bogie on hole 1 during round 2. Eades was tied with four competitors: Katie Schweers from Upper Iowa University, Audrey Cain of McKendree University, Sarah Arsich from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, and Chloe Davidson from Maryville University.Ā
Then
Laci Novosel finished in 33rd with a score of 251 (82-79-90), She was largely on par, with four birdies throughout the course. Novosel tied with Natalie Schmidt.berger from William Jewell College.Ā
Drury placed first as a team, their score of 937 (311-312-314) placed them above the hosting Bearcats by three strokes. Madelyn Luttjohann brought home first place as an individual for William Jewell College, her final was 228 (78-76-74).
The Hawks will compete one final time later this week before wrapping up the fall season at The Kentucky WesleyanĀ College Fall Invitational. This competition will take place at the Pearl Club in Owensboro, KY on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 26th-27th).
