Romeoville, IL – The Hawks soared into Romeoville this past Monday (Mar 31) and Tuesday (Apr 1) to compete in the highly competitive Flyers Spring Invitational. Facing a strong field of 12 teams, the Hawks secured a 7th-place finish with a total team score of 620 (319-301). The tournament put their resilience and adaptability to the test as they navigated varying course conditions and tough competition.
Jack Driscoll led the Hawks, tying for 11th place with three other competitors. His score of 151 (79-72) was bolstered by multiple holes played under par. Following him was Rilee West, who tied for 22nd place alongside two other golfers with a score of 154 (81-73). Ryan Kruse secured a 35th-place tie with four competitors, finishing with a 157 (78-79). Close behind was Griffin Taylor, who shot 158 (77-81), tying for 40th place with three others. Rounding out the lineup, Glenn Sutton finished tied for 62nd place with one other golfer, posting a final score of 166 (85-81).
Looking ahead, the Hawks will return to action from Sunday through Tuesday (Apr 6-8) as they travel to Noblesville, IN, to compete in the Ken Partridge Invitational at the Purgatory Golf Course. The team will strive to build on their performance and maintain their momentum against another challenging field.
