ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Quincy University men's bowling team continued its strong run of form this past weekend, earning a third-place finish at the 17th Annual Lions Classic, hosted by Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.
Fresh off their Mid-States Championship victory, the Hawks kept the momentum rolling on Saturday, finishing second in qualifying behind only McKendree University. Quincy knocked down 5,706 total pins to secure the No. 2 seed heading into Sunday's bracket play.
In match play, the Hawks opened with a 2-0 sweep over Drury before falling to Missouri Baptist by a 0-2 margin. Quincy rebounded in their third match, defeating Greenville 2-1, before ultimately bowing out to the eventual tournament champions, Lindenwood, 2-0, to close the weekend in third place overall.

Nathan Massey shined once again, claiming first place out of 97 bowlers with a total of 718 pins across three games (239.3 avg) to earn All-Tournament Team honors. Massey led a strong team effort that saw four Hawks finish inside the top 15:
The Hawks will look to keep their hot streak going when they travel to Lafayette, Indiana, for the Boilermaker Classic hosted by Purdue University on November 15–16.
