Men's Bowling Continue Torrid Stretch With Another Strong Weekend in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - It was another fantastic weekend for the Quincy University men's bowling program, as both the varsity and junior varsity teams turned in top-three performances at a pair of events hosted by Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. The Hawks stayed red-hot, placing second out of 17 teams at Saturday's Boilermaker Classic and third out of 17 at Sunday's Boilermaker Baker Shootout. Across both days, Quincy continued to showcase its depth and consistency, highlighted by Nathan Massey, who finished first among all individuals for the second straight event.

Quincy's varsity squad battled through a slow start on Saturday, opening the day in 10th place after Game 1. The Hawks quickly found their rhythm, averaging over 200 as a team across the remaining traditional games to surge up the standings and secure a second-place finish behind host Purdue. The junior varsity team added to the program's impressive showing, finishing third overall out of six in the traditional format.

On Sunday, the team transitioned to 25 baker games, where the Hawks bowled just under a 200 team average to earn third place, trailing only Purdue and Trine in a deep and competitive field. The JV squad remained steady as well, taking home a fourth-place finish out of seven in the baker event.

Head coach Kyle Egan praised his team's continued excellence, stating, "Another overall great weekend of bowling," as the Hawks notched their fourth consecutive top-three finish and their fifth top-10 placement of the season. With strong contributions up and down both rosters, the Hawks continue to build momentum heading into the heart of their schedule.

Quincy will return to action on November 22–23 as they travel to Fairview Heights, Illinois, for the National Collegiate Team Match Games, hosted by McKendree University.
