DECORAH, Iowa - The Quincy University women's wrestling team hit the mats on Saturday, November 16th at the Luther Open, hosted inside the Regents Center on the campus of Luther College. The Hawks turned in a competitive day across several weight classes, highlighted by multiple wrestlers earning multiple wins in their brackets.

Quincy saw strong performances at 138 lbs, where Abby Rhodes posted a 2–2 record with two falls (0:35 and 1:44), and Siobhan Rogers added a tech fall victory of her own. Ariella Miloncus also gained valuable experience in a deep bracket.

At 103 lbs, Abigail Mendoza earned an eighth-place finish, going 1–2 on the day with a tech fall in 2:53.

The Hawks produced a trio of multi-win outings in the upper weights. At 160 lbs, Alexa Valdez finished 2–2 with a fall (1:46) and a tech fall (0:56), while Gianna Schreck added a win as well. At 207 lbs, Isabella Winingear recorded a pair of dominant victories, a tech fall in 4:31 and a fall in 4:27.

In the 145-lb division, QU saw two more wrestlers reach the win column twice: Dempsey Atkinson (tech fall 3:13, fall 1:29) and Flo Niyokusenga (tech fall 0:48, tech fall 3:17), each finishing the day at 2–2.

The Hawks continue to build momentum and depth early in the 2025–26 season, showcasing promising growth across the lineup.
