Biography
Personal: Ariella Miloncus is from Springfield, Illinois, where she attended Lanphier High School and competed as a Lion. She is the daughter of Amanda Miloncus and has two siblings, Arianna and Arielle. Excelling in the classroom, Ariella earned a 3.9 GPA, was a member of the National Honor Society, frequently appeared on the High Honor Roll, and ranked 7th in her class of 2025.
Ariella has established herself as a trailblazer in Illinois wrestling. She is a 3x IWCOA State Champion, 3x IWCOA State Qualifier, IWCOA Sectional Champion, and a 2x IHSA State Qualifier, making history as the first girl from Springfield to qualify for IHSA state. She also claimed titles as an IHSA Regional Champion and 2x National Qualifier (Fargo). Ariella continued to break barriers, becoming the first female captain in Lanphier history and the first captain for the Springfield city co-op team.
Her accomplishments extend nationally and in freestyle competition, where she placed 4th at Freestyle State in 2023, 3rd in 2024, and earned 5th-place finishes at Midwest Nationals in 2022 and 2024. She is also a 3x All-Conference honoree, a 3x IWCOA Open State Champion, and was recognized as an Honorable Mention athlete.
Ariella balances her athletic career with her creative side, enjoying art and reading, and also competes in volleyball and wrestling. She is a 2x National Team Illinois athlete and even has a wrestling tournament named after her.
