Match One vs William Jewell
Set One
The Hawks feel behind in the early going, trailing the Cardinals by a 6-3 score in the early stages of the first set before working its way back to a tie at the 9-9 mark thanks to three-straight WJC errors.
Shortly after, QU took the advantage with a three-point run to lead it 13-11 and never surrendered the lead again for the remainder of the set. Wijnbergen solidified the Hawks lead later in the set at the 13-12 mark, scoring four-straight points on a pair of kills and two aces to make it 17-12.

Set Two

Susanna Beretti and
Samantha Hansen helped fuel the Hawks run.
WJC got right back into the mix with a four-point run to knot the tally at 8-8 before Quincy took six of the next nine points to open a 14-11 edge before sandwiching three Cardinal points with three runs of two, three and three to elevate the advantage to 22-14.
Three of the final four points of the set went in favor of QU to close out a convincing 25-15 victory in the second set.
Set Three

Later in the set at 16-10, a five-point Hawks run effectively put the set out of reach at 21-10. WJC found its stroke late in the set, but it was too little too late for the visitors on the scoreboard as Quincy went on to take the set 25-17 on a

Set Two
Winona worked its way into an early lead just as it did in the first set, this time leading things at 10-7. The Hawks fervently made their way back into the drivers seat, responding with a run of four to even the tally at 10-10 before using a five-point run to vault into a 15-12 advantage.

WSU stuck around late into the set until a three-point Quincy run at 20-16 gave the Hawks all the room they needed and more to go on and claim the third set 25-18 sealed by a Van Baars kill.
Set Four
After moving ahead 3-1 in the early going, QU surrendered a five-point run shortly after at 4-4 to fall behind 9-4 and it was tough sledding for Quincy from there as the Hawks never drew closer than four points for the remainder of the set and the Warriors went on to force a fifth and decisive set with a 25-18 winner to draw the match at 2-2.
