BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Quincy University women's golf team kicked off its season at the Drury Invitational held at the par 72, Silo Ridge Country Club over the weekend (Sep. 18-19). The Hawks finished 13
th out of 16 teams in competition, led by
Natalie Dearwester who turned in a T31 finish.
Dearwester carded an 83 (+11) on day one along with the low round for Quincy, a 77 (+5) in day two, to finish T31 at 160 (+16) for the tournament. Addi Eades carded the low round for QU on day one, firing an 81 (+9) to lead the Hawks by two strokes. Following up with an 83 (+11) on day two, Eades finished with a 163 (+19) total score after 36 holes for a T42 overall placement and second place finish on the Hawks squad.
An 83 (+11) followed up by an 85 (+13) found
Ellissa Warren with a 168 (+24) total score and T59 finish as the Hawks third-high competitor.
Lily Vardaman fired a 90 (+18) on day one along with an 85 (+13) on day two for a T73 finish at 175 (+31). Quincy was rounded out by
Laci Novosel, who shot 94 (+22) on day one with an 87 (+15) on day two for a 181 (+37) total score and sole possession of 80
th.
Payton Miller was the lone individual competing for the Hawks. Miller fired 93 and 103 for a total score of 196 through 36 holes of competition.
