SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Quincy University women's golf team battled through three rounds at Piper Glen Golf Course this weekend, finishing fifth overall at the Dan Salisbury Memorial with a team score of +142. The Hawks carded rounds of +58, +39, and +45 across the two-day event.
Addi Eades nearly cracked the top 10, finishing 11th individually after a strong three-round performance. Eades opened with an 84 before firing a team-low 79 in round two and closing with an 80 in round three. Her final round highlighted three birdies, six pars, and a memorable eagle on the 280-yard par 4.
Lily Vardaman led Quincy in the opening round with an 83 and went on to finish 17th overall, highlighted by a steady 81 in her final round. Close behind was Elissa Warren, who placed 19th. Warren delivered Quincy's lowest round of the tournament with a 77 on day two, bookended by scores of 89 and 87.
Laci Novosel finished in 22nd place, improving from an opening 90 to post back-to-back 85s in her final two rounds, which included seven pars and a birdie on day two.
Payton Miller rounded out Quincy's lineup in 34th place with rounds of 90, 98, and 91.

The Hawks will return to the course on Monday–Tuesday, September 15–16, competing at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate hosted by Lewis University at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Illinois.
