Biography
Career (2022-26): Vardaman spent four seasons with the Hawks from 2022-26, competing in 36 tournaments and totaling 87.5 rounds. She finished her career with 7,221 strokes and averaged 82.5 strokes per round.
Vardaman led Quincy in 12 different tournaments throughout her career and recorded nine top-10 finishes. She capped her career by becoming the first women’s golfer in program history to qualify for an NCAA Regional as an individual.

2025-26 (Senior): Vardaman put together a historic senior season for the Hawks, competing in 10 tournaments and totaling 26.5 rounds. She led Quincy with a 79.7 stroke average, finishing the year with 2,112 strokes while leading the Hawks in eight tournaments.
Vardaman became the first women’s golfer in Quincy history to qualify for an NCAA Regional as an individual. At the NCAA East Regional (5/4-6/26), she tied for 35th out of 104 golfers after shooting a 242 (+26) with rounds of 78, 81, and 83. Her top finish of the season came at the Upper Iowa Invitational (4/3-4/26), where she tied for third after shooting a 79 in the rain-shortened event. Vardaman also placed fifth at the Bearcat Dual Gender (10/20-21/25), seventh at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate (10/6-7/25), and carded her low round of the season with a 72 at the UIndy Fall Invitational (9/8-9/25).

2024-25 (Junior): Vardaman competed in nine tournaments during her junior season with the Hawks, totaling 22 rounds. She led Quincy with an 83.0 stroke average, finishing the year with 1,826 strokes.
Vardaman led the Hawks once on the season, with her top finish coming at the Flyers Spring Invitational (3/31-4/1/25), where she placed fourth after shooting a 156 (+12) with rounds of 76 and 80. She also carded a season-low round of 76 twice on the year.

2023-24 (Sophomore): Vardaman competed in eight tournaments during her sophomore season with the Hawks, totaling 18 rounds. She finished the year with 1,500 strokes and averaged 83.3 strokes per round while leading Quincy twice.
Vardaman’s top finish came at the QU Invite (4/15-16/24), where she tied for third after shooting a 174 (+30). She also placed seventh at the Bearcat Dual Gender (10/16-17/23), shooting a 236 (+20) with rounds of 85, 70, and 81. Her second-round 70 marked her low round of the season and the lowest round by any Hawk.

2022-23 (Freshman): Vardaman competed in nine tournaments during her freshman season with the Hawks, totaling 21 rounds. She finished the year with 1,783 strokes and averaged 84.9 strokes per round.
Vardaman made her collegiate debut at the Rockhurst Fall Invitational (8/31-9/1/22), where she placed 10th out of 37 golfers after shooting a 163 (+19). She led the Hawks once on the season at the Dan Salisbury Memorial (9/6/22), shooting a 162 (+18) to tie for 19th out of 44 golfers. Vardaman also added a ninth-place finish at the Wildcat Classic (4/2-3/23) and a runner-up finish at the Quincy Invitational (4/10-11/23). Her low round of the season came with a 73 at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational (10/29-30/22).

Personal:Â Vardaman is from Macomb, Illinois, and a graduate of Macomb High School, where she competed for the Bombers. She is the daughter of Missy and Lance Vardaman, with her father being a Quincy University graduate. Lily enjoys spending time with friends and relaxing. Her favorite golfers are Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth.
