BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The track and field teams continued their indoor season at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational on Saturday, January 29
th at the Perry Center.
The Hawks had some key performances and a school record fall at the meet.
Taryn Sargent placed 5
th in the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.54 meters. That placed 5
th in the meet, but also broke the school record. The other top performer for the Hawks on the women's side was
Faith Haggard in the 60 meter hurdles with a lifetime best of 9.50 seconds to place 2
nd at the meet.
Thiea Shea ran in the 200 and 400 meter races. He placed 5
th in the 200 with a time of 22.84 seconds and 6
th in the 400 meter with a time of 53.20.
Paden Lewis became the GLVC leader in the shot put with his 1
st place toss of 17.69 meters. That distance also puts him in 6
th overall at the NCAA Division II level. He placed 3
rd in the weight throw at 18.31 meters.
Jaret Boehm also placed in the top 3 in the shot put with a lifetime best of 14.61 meters. He was top 10 in the weight throw at 13.46 meters.
The Hawks will return to the track on Saturday, February 4
th at the Jim Green Invite hosted by Illinois College.
