VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Quincy University sophomore Jack Thompson represented the Hawks on the national stage Saturday at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships inside the Virginia Beach Sports Center. He opened the competition with a mark of 14.55 meters, followed by a jump of 14.37 meters on his second attempt before recording his best leap of the day at 14.75 meters on his third and final jump.

The sophomore capped off an impressive indoor campaign that saw him climb into Quincy's record books while helping put the Hawks back on the national stage.
