MONMOUTH, Ill. – The men's and women's track team competed at the Fighting Scots Indoor Meet hosted by Monmouth College on Saturday (Feb. 9).
Both the men's and women's team finished in 7th place in the meet. Monmouth took first place in both the men's and women's team results.
Josiah Prenger had the only top finish for the Hawks. Prenger finished in 1st place in the men's 3000 meter race with a time of 11:03.65. Quincy's Lucas Booher finished in 2nd with a 11:04.17.
Athena Lesiotis finished in 10th place in the women's 800 meters. She had a time of 2:39.01.
Katelyn Obert finished four spots behind her with a final time of 2:41.57.
The tandem of
Hannah Horman, Leslie Ashton,
Katelyn Obert, and
Athena Lesiotis finished in fourth in the women's distance medley. They ran a combined time of 14:24.34.
In the men's 60 meter dash, Kolton Crawe finished in 7th out of 37 initial runners. Crawe ran sprinted for a time of 7.22.
Crawe turned in another top 10 finish in the 200 meter dash. He finished in 5th place out of 36 runners with a time of 23.34.
Kevin Saunders finished the 200 meters in 23.86.
In the one mile race,
Will Kipping took home 5th place out of 22 competitors. He ran in a time of 4:45.90.
The Hawks' next meet will be February 23rd against Indianapolis.
