INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced Wednesday that Quincy University sophomore Jack Thompson has been named GLVC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week following a record-breaking performance at the Hilltop Classic in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Thompson delivered a historic mark in the triple jump, winning the event with a facility-record and school-record leap of 15.17 meters (49'-9.25"). His performance currently ranks second in the GLVC and is tied for 13th nationally in NCAA Division II.

The honor marks the first Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award of Thompson's career and the first for the Hawks since Paden Lewis earned the distinction on January 18, 2023.

Thompson and the Hawks now turn their focus to postseason competition as Quincy prepares for the GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championships this Saturday and Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana.
