INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University's women's cross country team has been picked 10th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) preseason coaches' poll for the 2026 season. The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches who are not permitted to vote for their own team.
Mark Manske enters his first season as head coach for both the men and women's cross country teams. Manske brings experience from the past four seasons spent at Coe College and Southeastern Community College and is ready to set the tone for a new season.
Lewis was voted first with 169 points after claiming their fourth consecutive championship in the GLVC conference and finished 14th at the NCAA Division II Championships. Following Lewis is Southwest Baptist with 152 points and placing third is Maryville with 129 points.
The Hawks will kick off the season at the UIS Prairie Stars Invitational on Friday, September 4, taking place in Springfield, IL.
