INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University men's volleyball saw two student-athletes earn top recognition as the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its postseason awards, with
Barnabas Fenyvesi and
Tomas Badan both being named First Team All-GLVC, while
Jade Breckheimer was honored with the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
Fenyvesi put together a strong all-around season for the Hawks, appearing in and starting 21 matches while playing in 69 sets. He led the team offensively with 229.0 points and 188 kills, averaging 3.32 points per set and 2.72 kills per set, both team highs. Fenyvesi also tied for the team lead with 25 service aces (0.36 per set), while adding 70 digs (1.01 per set) and 27 total blocks. He ranked 10th in the GLVC in both points per set and kills per set. Fenyvesi recorded nine matches with double-digit kills, including a career-high 18 kills against Missouri S&T on April 11.
Badan anchored the Hawks at the net, starting in 21 matches and appearing in 70 sets. He led the team in every blocking category with 20 solo blocks, 55 block assists, and 75 total blocks, averaging 1.07 blocks per set, which led the GLVC. Offensively, Badan hit a team-best .335, ranking sixth in the conference, while totaling 113 kills and 185.5 points (2.65 per set). He also tied for the team lead with 25 service aces (0.36 per set). Badan recorded six matches with at least five total blocks, highlighted by a season-high seven blocks in a four-set win over Roosevelt.
Breckheimer earned the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, recognizing his commitment to sportsmanship, leadership, and representing Quincy University with integrity throughout the season.
