ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Quincy University men's bowling team opened its 2025-26 season at the Hammer Golden Eagle Invite on September 27-28 at Don Carter Lanes in Rockford, Illinois. The Hawks entered both a varsity and JV squad, with the varsity group placing 9th out of 28 teams and the JV squad finishing 14th out of 18. The varsity squad totaled 7,857 pins (Team: 4,722 / Baker: 3,135 / Differential: -956), while the JV squad compiled 6,559 pins (Team: 3,931 / Baker: 2,628 / Differential: -1287).
For the varsity,
Zakery Grosvenor led the way with 1,006 pins over five games, averaging 201.2 to finish 37th individually.
Nathan Massey followed closely with 977 pins and a 195.4 average, while
Cayden Thoms added 967 pins with a 193.4 average.
Tyler Wojcik chipped in a steady 196.6 average across three games, and
Kaden Summers posted 545 pins in three games at a 181.7 clip.
Connor Meegan and
Nathan Robbins also contributed valuable frames to round out the varsity effort.
The JV lineup was paced by Logan Fuhr, who rolled 924 pins over five games for an average of 184.8. He was joined by Lukas Vrabec with 664 pins (166 avg.) and Thomas McMahon with 681 pins across five games (136.2 avg.). Trevor Dodd tallied 637 pins (159.3 avg.), Marco Arroyo added 549 pins (137.3 avg.), and Austin Cooper rounded out the scoring with 476 pins in three games (158.7 avg.).
The Hawks will continue their season October 4-5, when they travel to Detroit, Michigan, to compete in the Midwest Collegiate Classic.
