INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University kicker Kiko Moreno has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Special Teams Player of the Week, becoming the first Hawk to receive the award since Mason Murray in 2015.
Moreno played a pivotal role in Quincy's 24-21 victory over Lincoln, helping secure the team's first GLVC win of the season. He went a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points and delivered a momentum-swinging 43-yard field goal as the first half expired. His consistency on special teams proved crucial in a game decided by just three points.
This marks a historic recognition for the Hawks, snapping a nearly decade-long gap since their last GLVC Special Teams Player of the Week award.
Quincy will be back in action on Saturday, September 27, traveling to Detroit to face Wayne State University. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM.
