QUINCY, Ill. - The Hawks concluded their four-game set with the Flyers on Sunday (Apr. 7) looking to complete a sweep of Lewis. A fast start and persistent offensive presence from LU spelled a 14-2 loss for Quincy in seven innings.
Neither side entered the scoring column in the first bringing Lewis to the plate to score five runs in the second. A walk, double and HBP loaded the bases for a grand slam, shortly after another run came around on a single to find QU trailing 5-0.
The Hawks got one back in the bottom half of the second, using a one-out homer from
Evan Davis to trim the margin to four at 5-1.
Logan Mueller worked a clean third inning before getting tagged for a pair of runs in the fourth on a two-run home run to push the Flyer advantage to 7-1. Following the removal of Mueller in the fifth, LU tacked on five more runs on a walk and a second grand slam to make it 12-1.

The Hawks are on the road next weekend, traveling to Indianapolis to take on the Greyhounds of UIndy. The series is set for a 2:00 PM start on Friday (Apr. 12) for game one.
