OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Quincy University women's golf team rounded out its fall slate at The Pearl Club for the Kentucky Wesleyan hosted Bill Crabtree Invitational on Sunday and Monday (Oct. 22-23). QU finished in 10th position out of 15 squads with a team score of 653 (333-320).
Karlie Schnepp led the way for the Hawks, finishing in a tie for 21st place with a 158 (+14) total score. An 80 (+8) in the first round followed up with a 78 (+6) in the second round found Schnepp a single stroke ahead of QU's second finisher,
Natalie Dearwester.
Dearwester started with an 82 (+10) for her first 18 holes before firing the low round of the tournament for Quincy in round two with a 77 (+5) to finish with a 159 (+15) total score through 36 holes and a T26 placement.
Lily Vardaman was the next finisher for QU, shooting 82 (+10) in both rounds for a final score of 164 (+20), good for a T41 finish. Addi Eades carded rounds of 89 (+17) and 88 (+16) for a 177 (+33) en route to a T73 finish.
Ellissa Warren and
Laci Novosel rounded out the Hawks effort, both shooting 179 (+45) for a T76 placement. Warren carded a 90 in round one and an 89 in round two while Novosel shot 96 on day one and a 13-stroke improvement of 83 in round two.
