QUINCY, ILL. – The Hawk Football team looked to bounce back with a week two victory over the Trinity International Trojans on Thursday (September 8). Quincy came out victorious by the score of 53-14.

Quincy would get the ball first and make quick work of their first drive, going 67 yards in 2 plays resulting in a Tionne Harris 62 yard pass to AJ Hardin. The next drive for the Hawks was quick as well with Harris finding Hardin again on a 27 yard TD pass. Hawks were up 14-0 90 seconds into the contest.

During the middle part of the frame, Harris would throw his 3^rd TD pass of the night, this time to Jalen Lawrence from 43 yards. QU would go 80 yards in 10 plays. Taylor Temple got the ground game going as he scored from 23 yards out to make it 27-0 Hawks still in the first quarter. Just two minutes later, Harris found Marlin Washington to make it 33-0 Quincy.

The 2^nd quarter was a record breaking quarter for Harris as he tied the single game TD pass record with the 25 yard pass to Washington. With time winding down in the half, Harris found Hardin in the corner of the end zone to break the school record for most touchdown passes in a single game.

Early in the 3^rd quarter, Angel Ruiz picked up a Trojan punt on the bounce and took it 58 yards for a touchdown to make it 53-0 Hawks.

The TIU Trojans would score two touchdowns late in the game.
