Little Earns Second Career GLVC Offensive Player of the Week Honor

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Quincy University quarterback Bradyn Little has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, following his four-touchdown performance against Roosevelt University.

Despite the Hawks falling 41-28 in Saturday's home opener at QU Stadium, Little bounced back from a difficult season opener with a strong performance through the air. The sophomore completed 18-of-29 passes for 182 yards and four touchdowns while throwing just one interception, finishing with a 62.1 completion percentage. His four touchdown passes set a new career high and marked the first four-touchdown passing game of his collegiate career.

Little spread the ball around throughout the contest, throwing touchdown passes to four different receivers. He connected with Elijah Genenbacher for a five-yard score in the opening quarter before finding Tykell Hammers from four yards out in the second quarter to tie the game at 14.

The Quincy signal caller added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the Hawks attempted to rally from a 17-point deficit. Little found Jackson Burnett for an 11-yard touchdown with 11:22 remaining before connecting with Derrick Miller on a 17-yard score with 4:20 left, pulling Quincy within six at 34-28.

The honor is the second GLVC Offensive Player of the Week award of Little's career. He was also the most recent Hawk to earn the award, receiving the recognition on September 2 of last season following his memorable collegiate debut against Concordia-St. Paul.

Little and the Hawks will have a bye this week before returning to action for Homecoming and their GLVC opener against Lincoln University of Missouri on Saturday, September 19, at 1:00 PM from QU Stadium.
