She played all 90 minutes against UMSL, finishing with two shots and continuing to serve as one of the Hawks' primary creators in the midfield.

The Hawks and Tritons played to a scoreless opening half, with both teams creating opportunities while Quincy stayed within one goal throughout the first half.

Quincy goalkeeper Devin Tracy also played a key role in keeping the match scoreless at halftime. Tracy made three saves during the contest, including a stop on UMSL's Taylor Martin late in the first half and another save on Avery Hesseldenz shortly after halftime. Tracy played all 90 minutes in goal for the Hawks.

UMSL opened the scoring just 1:59 into the second half when Hesseldenz found the back of the net at the 46:59 mark, with Josie Maddox providing the assist. The Tritons added a second goal at 57:25 when Maddy Kuhn scored, before Taylor Martin capped the scoring in the 78th minute on an assist from Sophia Beedle.

Quincy also earned one corner kick compared to six for the Tritons. The Hawks were whistled for six fouls, while UMSL was called for eight.

Along with Newton's two shots, Quincy saw attempts from Nelson, Martin and Andreu. Nelson's first-half attempt was the Hawks' lone shot on goal, forcing Wolf to make the save.

Martin also remained involved offensively, while Quincy continued to use its bench throughout the match, with Mathilda Rumpf playing 40 minutes, Erin Kretzer 30, Abbie Martin 34, Tori Nelson 32 and Lucy Thomas 20.

The Hawks continued to compete through the final whistle, with the Quincy defense and midfield working to limit additional opportunities after the third UMSL goal.
