QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's basketball program has released its 2026-27 schedule as the Hawks prepare for year two under head coach Ali Schwagmeyer-Belger.

Quincy is coming off a strong first season under Schwagmeyer-Belger, finishing 15-13 overall and 12-8 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The Hawks went 8-5 inside Pepsi Arena, 5-7 on the road and 2-1 in neutral-site games.

With a large group of returners mixed with newcomers, Quincy will look to build on last season's success and push toward another postseason opportunity. To view the full roster preview, click here.

GLVC/G-MAC Crossover

The Hawks will open the season at the GLVC/G-MAC Crossover, hosted by Ursuline in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Quincy will begin the year against Cedarville and host Ursuline for the fourth straight season.

Cedarville finished last season 14-17 overall and 7-13 in G-MAC play while going 3-1 in neutral-site games. The Hawks defeated the Yellow Jackets 71-57 last season and are 2-2 against Cedarville in four meetings since 2018. Quincy has won each of the last two matchups, both by double digits.

Quincy will then take on Ursuline, which finished 5-22 overall and 2-18 in the G-MAC last season. The Arrows went 4-10 at home. The Hawks defeated Ursuline 78-61 last year and are 2-4 against the Arrows since 2019, with both wins coming in the last two meetings.

Hansen-Spear Classic

The Hawks will return home for the Hansen-Spear Classic inside Pepsi Arena, welcoming Minnesota State Mankato and Purdue Northwest.

Minnesota State Mankato has been one of the top Division II programs in the country over the last several seasons, posting a 112-21 record since the 2022-23 campaign. Last season, the Mavericks went 29-3 overall and 21-1 in the NSIC, while going 11-1 on the road. Minnesota State lost in the NSIC Championship game before hosting the NCAA Central Regional as the No. 1 seed. This will be the first meeting between Quincy and Minnesota State Mankato.

The Hawks will also face Purdue Northwest, a team Quincy defeated 80-62 at last year's Hansen-Spear Classic. Purdue Northwest finished last season 3-25 overall and 1-19 in the GLIAC while going 1-12 on the road. Quincy is 3-0 against the Pride in three meetings since 2021, with two of those wins coming by double digits.

Emporia State Comes to Pepsi Arena

Quincy will also host Emporia State during the non-conference portion of the schedule. The Hornets finished last season 15-15 overall and 8-11 in the MIAA while going 4-8 on the road. Emporia State defeated Quincy 75-62 last season in the first meeting between the two programs.

Opening GLVC Play

The Hawks will begin GLVC play at home against Upper Iowa and Indianapolis, two teams Quincy will see again later in the season on the road.

Upper Iowa finished last season 14-15 overall and 10-10 in the GLVC, earning the No. 8 seed in the conference tournament. The Peacocks went 6-4 on the road. Quincy and Upper Iowa split last season's two meetings, with both road teams earning wins. Since 2010, the Hawks are 5-4 against the Peacocks and 4-2 inside Pepsi Arena.

Quincy will then host Indianapolis. The Greyhounds finished 5-23 overall and 4-16 in GLVC play while going 1-14 away from home. The Hawks swept both matchups last season and have won four straight in the series. Since 2011, Quincy and UIndy have met 21 times, with the Greyhounds holding a narrow 11-10 edge.

Final Non-Conference Games

Quincy will close non-conference play with a road matchup at Northwest Missouri State before returning home to host Parkside to end the 2026 portion of the schedule.

Northwest Missouri State finished last season 18-12 overall and 11-8 in the MIAA while going 13-3 at home. The Hawks and Bearcats have met six times since 2012, with Quincy holding a 4-2 record in those matchups. This will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2018.

The Hawks will then welcome Parkside to Pepsi Arena. The Rangers finished last season 14-15 overall and 9-11 in the GLIAC while going 7-7 on the road. Since 1989, Parkside holds a 20-16 advantage over Quincy, but the Hawks are 11-5 against the Rangers inside Pepsi Arena. It will be the first meeting since 2021, with Parkside having won two straight and seven of the last 10 in the series.

Conference Play Takes Over

From there, the Hawks will turn fully to GLVC play.

Quincy opens the new year on the road against Lewis in the first of two meetings with the Flyers. Lewis finished last season 18-12 overall and 13-7 in the GLVC, earning the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament. The Hawks defeated the Flyers 76-66 last season, snapping a 12-game losing streak in the series. Dating back to 1976, Lewis holds a 32-28 advantage over Quincy.

The Hawks will then return home to face Illinois Springfield. UIS finished 14-14 overall and 11-9 in the GLVC, finishing ninth and just outside the conference tournament field. Quincy won last season's meeting 71-70 inside Pepsi Arena. Since 2003, the Hawks are 22-10 against the Prairie Stars and have won two straight.

Quincy then travels to Missouri-St. Louis for the first of two matchups against the Tritons. UMSL was one of the top teams in the GLVC last season, finishing 25-6 overall and 18-2 in conference play while winning the GLVC regular-season title. The Tritons reached the GLVC Championship game and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. UMSL won both meetings last season and holds a 15-13 advantage over Quincy since 2010.

The Hawks return home to face McKendree, which went 18-9 overall and 15-5 in the GLVC last season. The Bearcats finished fourth in the conference standings and posted the best road winning percentage in the GLVC at 9-2. McKendree won last year's meeting 71-58 in Lebanon, and the two programs are even at 8-8 in 16 meetings since 2013.

January Road Tests

Quincy will then hit the road for the second matchup of the season against Indianapolis. The Greyhounds went 4-9 at home last season.

The Hawks will also travel to Missouri S&T for the lone regular-season meeting between the programs. The Miners finished 12-14 overall and 8-12 in GLVC play while going 7-6 at home. Quincy swept both matchups last season and has won seven straight against Missouri S&T. Since 1985, the Hawks hold a narrow 24-23 advantage in the all-time series.

Quincy will then face Truman State on the road in the first of two meetings against the Bulldogs. Truman State went 17-12 overall and 14-6 in the GLVC last season, earning the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament. The Bulldogs defeated Quincy 79-51 inside Pepsi Arena last season and have won two straight in the series. Dating back to 1976, Truman State holds a 33-29 advantage over the Hawks.

The Hawks return home for the second matchup against Lewis before hosting Rockhurst in the lone regular-season meeting between the teams. Rockhurst finished last season 7-19 overall and 3-17 in the GLVC while going 1-10 on the road. Quincy defeated the Hawks of Rockhurst 64-48 inside Pepsi Arena last season. Since 1998, Quincy has controlled the series with a 26-9 record, including a 14-3 mark inside Pepsi Arena.

Final Push Toward the Postseason

Quincy will begin the final stretch with its second matchup against Illinois Springfield, this time on the road. The Prairie Stars went 9-5 on their home floor last season.

The Hawks will then travel to William Jewell for the lone meeting of the season against the Cardinals. William Jewell finished 1-25 overall and 1-19 in the GLVC last season while going 0-12 at home. Quincy defeated the Cardinals 70-52 in Liberty last year and has won eight straight in the series. Since 2011, the Hawks are 17-7 against William Jewell.

Quincy will then host Missouri-St. Louis in the second matchup of the season against the Tritons before welcoming Drury to Pepsi Arena. Drury went 21-8 overall and 17-3 in the GLVC last season, finishing third in the conference standings. The Panthers won both meetings against Quincy last year and hold a 21-9 advantage in the series since 2008. Quincy's two wins over Drury during that stretch both came during the 2024-25 season.

The Hawks will then travel to Maryville for a GLVC Tournament rematch. The Saints finished 25-7 overall and 16-4 in conference play last season, placing second in the GLVC standings. Maryville went on to win the GLVC Tournament before falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Saints won both matchups against Quincy last year, including an overtime win in the opening round of the conference tournament. Since 2010, Maryville leads the series 15-13.

Quincy will remain on the road to face Southwest Baptist. The Bearcats finished 8-18 overall and 5-15 in the GLVC last season. Quincy won last year's meeting 68-65 and has won three straight in the series. Since 2007, the Hawks hold an 8-5 advantage over SBU.

The final road game of the regular season will come at Upper Iowa. The Peacocks went 8-8 at home last season.

Quincy will then return to Pepsi Arena for the final stretch of the regular season, beginning with Lincoln. The Hawks swept the Blue Tigers last season and have won five straight in the series. Lincoln finished 5-22 overall and 3-17 in the GLVC while going 2-12 on the road.

The regular season concludes at home against Truman State in the second meeting of the year between the programs. The Bulldogs went 7-5 on the road last season.

After finishing 12-8 in GLVC play a season ago, Quincy will look to continue building in year two under Schwagmeyer-Belger. With a strong core returning, several newcomers joining the roster and a challenging conference schedule ahead, the Hawks will aim to remain in the postseason picture and take another step forward in 2026-27.
