INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its 2026 GLVC Women's Basketball postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon, with Quincy University earning multiple honors.
Acheampomaa Danso was named Second Team All-GLVC,
Hayven Harden earned a spot on the GLVC All-Freshman Team, and
Karly Peters was recognized as Quincy's GLVC James R. Spaulding Sportsmanship Award honoree.
Danso earns her first All-GLVC selection of her four-year career after delivering an efficient and consistent season for the Hawks. Despite missing several games due to injury, the senior appeared in 23 contests while making 22 starts. She averaged 10.5 points per game, ranking third on the team, while also contributing 4.9 rebounds per game, the second-highest mark on the roster. Danso added 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game, also finishing second on the team in steals.
One of the most efficient scorers in the conference, Danso shot an impressive 58.8 percent from the field, the second-best mark on the team and third in the GLVC. She finished the regular season second on the Hawks with 107 made field goals while leading the team with 47 offensive rebounds. Danso also ranked third on the roster with 11 blocks. She reached double figures in scoring 14 times throughout the season, including a career-high 21-point performance in Quincy's regular season finale against Indianapolis, a victory that helped secure the Hawks a spot in the GLVC Tournament.
Harden made an immediate impact in her debut season, earning All-Freshman Team honors after emerging as one of the most productive players off the bench in the GLVC. Harden appeared in 23 games after battling an injury early in the season, coming off the bench in 20 of those contests. She averaged 10.7 points per game, the second-highest mark on the team, while also contributing 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
Harden's efficiency around the basket has been one of the highlights of the season. She is currently shooting 66.9 percent from the field, which leads Quincy and ranks second in the GLVC. If the mark holds, it will set a new Quincy single-season record. Harden also leads the team with 113 made field goals and 24 blocks, showcasing her presence on both ends of the floor. She recorded double-digit scoring performances in 13 games this season.
Peters was also recognized by the conference as Quincy's GLVC James R. Spaulding Sportsmanship Award honoree, an award that highlights student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship and character both on and off the court.
Danso, Harden, Peters, and the Hawks will now turn their attention to postseason play. Quincy travels to the Mark Twain Building in St. Louis, Missouri, for the GLVC Tournament, where the seventh-seeded Hawks will face the second-seeded Maryville Saints in a rematch of the 2025 GLVC Championship game. Tipoff for the quarterfinal matchup is scheduled for 2:15 PM on Thursday, March 5.
